On April 10, Deputy Prime Minister and First Vice Chairman of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC), H.E. Sun Chanthol, welcomed a delegation from BYD Auto Industry Co., Ltd., led by Mr. Xiao Haiping, Executive Director of the BYD Group President’s Office, for a courtesy meeting and policy dialogue.
During the meeting, the BYD delegation expressed their appreciation for the Cambodian government’s support since the company’s market entry, particularly CDC’s facilitation in preparing for the upcoming groundbreaking ceremony for the assembly plant.
H.E. He also highlighted the recent introduction of BYD’s latest models — the BYD SEALION 5 and BYD ATTO 2 — to the local market. These models, known for their advanced technology, energy efficiency, and affordability, have been well received by Cambodian consumers.

The Deputy Prime Minister reaffirmed the CDC’s commitment to supporting private sector investments, ensuring a flexible, efficient, and investor-friendly environment.
